Pluto lines up content, adds Lat Am nets

ViacomCBS-owned AVoD platform Pluto TV has added a range of new content and launched new channels across Latin America.

New channels joining Pluto TV Latin America include sports-focused net Pluto TV Fútbol, which will offer content including Clubland, Football Stars and Football’s Greatest Stage.

Household channel Pluto TV Hogar will feature home improvement series such as Extreme Makeover Home Edition and Great Interior Design Challenge, while Pluto TV Teen will include titles The LA Complex, Instant Star and Somos Tú y Yo.

The service has also created a new category labelled Marathons to house content on its platform. The category is dedicated to binge-watching and long-running titles, and will include series such as MasterChef, Minuto Para Ganar and Degrassi upon its launch.

The AVoD service has picked up feature films such as Buena Vista Social Club, Kirsten Dunst and Rebel Wilson’s comedy Bachelorette, comedy title Our Idiot Brother, The Spanish Prisoner, horror film Hellraiser and action movies such as Aeon Flux and Nick of Time.

The platform has also acquired drama series including I Dream of Jeannie, Bewitched, Who’s the Boss, Freaks & Geeks, Misfits and classic MTV titles such as 16 & Pregnant and Punk’d.

New episodes of true crime series The FBI Files, Forensic Files and The New Detectives will be available via the platform’s Pluto TV Investiga channel, while culinary shows Cocinísima and Cocineros al Volante have been added to food-focused channel Pluto TV Cocina.

Childrens’ series The Wild Thornberrys and Rocko’s Modern Life have also been added to the Nick Clasico channel on the service.

Pluto TV Latin America is available in 17 countries across the region. The service aims to continue to add new channels to its current line-up of 30 on a monthly basis with hopes of surpassing 70 at the end of the year.
