GUIDELINES
The C21 Drama Series Pitch is open to new dramas and comedy dramas that are unseen in the international market and are either seeking commission or finance.
(They must have at least one part of funding in place)
C21 and Content London provide a high-profile scenario within which to pitch new shows to the world.
The format of the pitch means it will occupy a prominent slot at The International Drama Summit, and the project will be exposed to more than 2000 delegates at the event.
A long list of 30 projects will be selected to be showcased through C21Media.net during the first two weeks of November.
15 projects will be selected to pitch live at Content London

The Drama Series Pitch will take place on Tuesday 3 December.
C21 will profile the 15 finalists during Content London, with interviews about the projects published online and in the Content London Daily.
The winning pitch will receive a marketing package through C21Media worth £30,000 to support development and pre-sales promotion of the show.
All finalists will be showcased through a Pitch Networking Event at Content London to meet with interested partners.

ENTRY CRITERIA

  • Projects must have at least one part funding in place
  • A longlist of 30 finalists will be showcased through C21Media.net during the first two weeks of November, reaching a global community of more than 200,000 potential partners.
  • A shortlist of 15 projects will be selected to present a 10-minute live pitch to delegates at the International Drama Summit at Content London on December 3.
  • C21 will profile each of the 15 finalists during the event, with interviews about the projects published online and in the Content London Daily.
  • All 15 finalists will be invited to a networking event during Content London to meet with interested partners.
  • The winning pitch will receive a marketing package through C21Media worth £30,000 to support development and pre-sales promotion of the show
  • All 15 finalists will be offered a VIP rate ticket at £499 to the International Drama Summit.

The C21 Drama Series Pitch provides a high-visibility opportunity for companies aiming to use Content London and its relationship with C21Media.net as a marketing platform to release new series.

Entry criteria

  1. New drama or comedy drama series suitable for international co-production looking for commission or finance.
  2. Projects must be unseen and not selected for another market within six months before Content London.
  3. Projects must be from established broadcasters, producers or financiers with a clear track record in the genre.
  4. All projects entered into the competition will need to be available to pitch to conference on 3 December 2019
  5. Pitchees will also need to be available for networking and be present at The International Drama Awards during the event between 3 and 5 December
  6. The pitch slot will be 10 minutes in length and must include as much information as possible. It should be treated as a broadcaster / platform pitch. Mood boards, casting, treatment, mini-pilots or sizzles, scripts should be included.
  7. The pitch should include rationale for global distribution.
  8. The pitch should include exactly what is required at this stage of development.
  9. Entrants will be notified if they have made the long list and if they have been invited to pitch on October 28

Submission

  • Fully completed Drama Series Pitch submission Form.
  • Information completed in the why you want to take part section.
  • Financing plan outlining what finance is in place and what is still required.
  • Series bible and pilot treatment / script if available.
  • Teaser / visuals where available.

Deadline for submissions is 14 October

THE PITCH

Focus on you story!
At Content London we are looking for pitches that focus on telling your story in a compressed version, between 5-10 minutes. We want to hear you tell the story and the passion behind it. We are not looking for trailers.
Terms of Participation
Content London has become the leading gathering of the global scripted business, which meets around a smart conference agenda, a coproduction marketplace, awards, screening, premieres dinners and parties. We therefore require all pitch participants to have conference accreditation and be available throughout the 3 – 5 December.
Participants will be eligible to purchase accreditation for the International Drama Summit at a VIP rate of £499.
Prize
C21Media will make a marketing package worth £30,000 available to the winner, which can be used during the following 12 months to build the show. This package includes banners and online promotion. There will also be a feature article produced on the winner that will publish to C21’s 200,000+ userbase.
