Pilgrim’s Hill goes Leftfield

Pawn Stars producer Leftfield Pictures is expanding by opening a West Coast office and has hired a Pilgrim Studios exec to lead the move.

The New York-based firm is opening an LA office to be led by Rob Hill, who has been appointed as VP of development – the same role he held at Pilgrim. Prior to Pilgrim, Hill worked in the UK with Optomen and Renegade Pictures.

The move is designed to broaden Leftfield’s slate, which is currently led by hit History series Pawn Stars and its various spin-offs.

Leftfield founder Brent Montgomery said: “While we may be best known for shows in the ‘hidden treasures’ genre we helped elevate with Pawn Stars, Leftfield has also been expanding into other areas of programming.

“We felt the time was right to establish a permanent presence in Los Angeles, allowing access to new and different types of talent on both sides of the camera.”
