Pilgrim promotes for content

US-based Pilgrim Studios has reshuffled its management team with the promotion of two execs to senior content-related roles.

Johnny Gould, who has been with Pilgrim since 2003 and was most recently exec VP of development and original programming, becomes chief creative officer, while Nicholas Caprio, previously exec VP of production and current programming, has been named chief content officer.

Gould will continue to oversee Pilgrim’s original programming and development, along with international format sales and acquisitions. He’s previously worked on Fast N’ Loud and Street Outlaws for Discovery as well as Wicked Tuna for Nat Geo, among others.

Caprio will oversee all current programming. He joined Pilgrim in 2012 and has been behind Bring It! for Lifetime, as well as overseeing the production of Discovery’s Shark Week specials Megalodon: The Monster Shark Lives, Shark of Darkness: Wrath of Submarine and Sharktacular.
