Perfect Life enjoys Canneseries success

Beta Film’s Perfect Life stars Leticia Dolera, Celia Freijeiro and Aixa Villagran

Female-driven drama Perfect Life was the biggest winner at Canneseries, securing Best Series and Special Performance awards at the international TV festival.

The dramedy follows three very different women aged over 30 who find their seemingly settled lives turned upside down. Leticia Dolera stars and directs, with Spain’s Movistar+ producing and Germany’s Beta Film distributing.

Dolera and co-stars Celia Freijeiro and Aixa Villagrán won the Special Performance prize, with the show also taking Best Series.

Elsewhere, the Best Performance award went to Reshef Levi for his role in Israeli drama Nehama. Bert Van Dael and Sanne Nuyens, the writers behind Belgian drama The Twelve (De Twaalf), took the Best Screenplay prize, while Christoph M Kaiser and Julian Maas claimed the Best Music award for Beta Film’s drama Bauhaus – A New Era.

Australian drama Over & Out won Best Short Form Series. The show was created by Adele Vuko and Christiaan Van Vuuren.
