Eaton will join a panel at the summit, part of Content London, which takes between November 29 and December 1.

She took the helm of the strand, then known as Masterpiece Theatre and Mystery!, in 1985. In 2008 she oversaw its successful relaunch, attracting a new generation of viewers to recent hits such as Wolf Hall, Sherlock, Downton Abbey, Poldark, Mr Selfridge and Prime Suspect.

Under Eaton’s leadership, Masterpiece has won 58 Primetime Emmy Awards, 16 Peabody Awards and six Golden Globes, and has also been nominated for two Academy Awards. In 2011, Eaton was named one of Time Magazine’s 100 most influential people.

Eaton began her career at the BBC World Service, before moving on to PBS station WGBH Boston where she produced programmes on topics including sports, dance and drama. Her memoir – Making Masterpiece: 25 Years Behind the Scenes at Masterpiece Theatre and Mystery! on PBS – was published by Viking in 2013.
