PBS, BBC visit Islands of Wonder

Borneo is one of the most biodiverse islands on the planet

Pubcasters PBS in the US and the BBC in the UK have commissioned a three-part series uncovering the creatures and cultures found on the islands of Madagascar, Borneo and Hawaii.

Islands of Wonder, which will premiere in September, explores how the isolated environments of each island harbour unique wildlife and human cultures found nowhere else on Earth.

The series is a BBC Studios Production for PBS and the BBC. Exec producing is Mark Brownlow, while Kathryn Jeffs is series producer.

Both producers have worked on natural history series including the BBC’s Planet Earth and Blue Planet II.

Michael J Hayes (Rivers of Life) is narrating the series.
