Passion takes Mums to Cannes

Firecracker Films’ Mums Make Porn

A factual entertainment series in which a group of mothers write, direct and produce their own porn film is topping Passion Distribution’s MipTV slate.

Produced by Firecracker Films, Mums Make Porn (3×60′) made its debut on Channel 4 in the UK this week and is available as both a finished series and a format from the UK-based distributor.

It sees a group of ordinary mothers with teenage children seek to create a film that not only works as pornography but also sparks a debate and promotes healthy attitudes towards sex and relationships for the next generation.

Passion Distribution’s slate of 150-plus hours of factual entertainment and documentary content includes fellow Firecracker project The Sex Clinic (6×60′), which airs on E4 in the UK. Also available as a format, it sees a team of experts tackle young people’s sexual health issues, with no subject too taboo.

Newly acquired factual entertainment series My Family Secrets Revealed (15×60′), from Big Mountain for Channel 4, is described as a heart-warming series and format that offers the public a chance to connect directly with their family history for the first time.

A team of genealogical and historical experts pour over electoral, birth and death records, analyse DNA and build family trees to reveal fascinating stories, prove exciting connections and solve family puzzles about long-lost relatives.

Documentaries on Passion’s slate include Miriam’s Deathly Adventure (2×60′), a Wild Pictures production for BBC2 in which Miriam Margolyes (The Real Marigold Hotel) goes on a mission to confront her fear of ageing and death.

Other titles include Grime & Punishment (6×60′), My House & Other Animals (2×60′) and Best Christmas Food Ever (10×60′).
