Tinopolis-owned Passion Distribution is heading to Mipcom with more than 100 hours of factual and entertainment on its slate, including the new UK version of RuPaul’s Drag Race.

Produced by World of Wonder for BBC3, the UK version (8×60’) features hosts RuPaul and Michelle Visage in search of the country’s next Drag Queen. The original US version of the series is also returning for a 12th season (14×90’).

In a similar vein, docuseries Werq the World (11×30’) provides insight into the global phenomenon of drag and follows 10 of the most-famous drag performers around Europe. It is produced by World of Wonder for WOW Presents Plus.

A three-part magic special from British magician Dynamo is also on the slate. Under the working title Project 7, the new series marks Dynamo’s return to the screen after a five-year absence and sees him travel the globe performing his magic.

The series is a copro between Phil McIntyre Television, Inner Circle Films and Motion Content Group for Sky and will air on Sky1 and streaming service NOW TV in the UK and Ireland in 2020.

In factual, stand-alone documentary Pompeii: The Untold Story (1×90’) pieces together the events in the weeks, years and centuries after the famous volcanic eruption in 79AD. Presented by Raksha Dave and Dan Snow, it was produced by Voltage TV for UK broadcaster Channel 5.

The Architecture The Railways Built (10×60’) and History Hunters (6×60’) are also on show in Cannes this month.

The first docuseries showcases railway architecture from across the UK, while the latter follows a father and son duo as they travel the country to find items for their military antiques business. Both series are produced by Brown Bob Production for UKTV’s channel Yesterday.

Bridging the Expanse (6×60’), from Wild Bear Entertainment, is a six-parter celebrating the world’s most iconic bridges and the feats of engineering that made them happen.

Additionally, Corner Shop Cook Off is also traveling to the French coast. The format will see chefs go head-to-head as they create courses using ingredients from a corner shop. The show is a Mentorn Scotland production for BBC Scotland.
