Paramount shops Dwight in Shining Armor

Dwight in Shining Armor debuted in March

US-based Paramount Worldwide Television Licensing & Distribution has acquired the international rights to scripted adventure comedy series Dwight in Shining Armor.

The show, an original series for US network BYUTv, will be on offer to international broadcasters from the LA Screenings this month.

Dwight in Shining Armour follows the story 21st century teen Dwight, who falls into an ancient underground chamber and lands lip-to-lip with Gretta, a gothic princess who has been asleep for a thousand years. Dwight’s ‘kiss’ awakens Gretta, as well as scores of medieval villains Gretta and Dwight must defeat.

The 10-episode first season premiered on BYUtv in March and a 10-part second run is due to air this autumn. Created by LeeAnne H Adams and Brian J Adams (Amazon Studio’s 12 Princesses), it stars Caitlin Carmichael (The Good Doctor), Joel McCrary (The Princess Diaries) and Evan Hofer (Lethal Weapon).
