The original You’re Back in the Room

An Australian broadcaster has become the latest to order a local version of BBC Worldwide and FremantleMedia format You’re Back in the Room.

Nine Network has ordered the show from BBCWW Australia & New Zealand and FremantleMedia Australia and will air it during 2016.

The format, originally from UK production company Tuesday’s Child, sees five strangers take on a series of apparently simple challenges while under hypnosis.

It’s the fourth commission to be produced by FMA as part of its multi-year deal with BBCWW in the region, which has seen Dancing with the Stars produced for Seven, Rachel Khoo’s Kitchen Notebook Melbourne made for SBS and The Great Australian Bake Off currently broadcasting on Foxtel’s LifeStyle FOOD channel.

Local versions of You’re Back in the Room have already been commissioned by French Network W9 and the Netherlands’ RTL, while ITV in the UK has ordered a second series.
