OUTtv to put on drag as it grows originals

OUTtv comedy Avocado Toast is set for a second season

Canadian LGBTQ+ network OUTtv has ordered a number of new shows as it continues to build up its slate of original programming, including several drag-related titles from Producers Entertainment Group (PEG).

New shows ordered by the network include documentary series Boy Boy (10×30′) from Romeo et Fils and reality show Group Sext from Go Button Media, which was piloted under lockdown earlier this year.

Boy Boy covers the gay pornography scene in Montreal, which has grown to become a major hub for the industry, while Group Sext sees various contestants sexting to win a Zoom date.

OUTtv has also renewed arts and culture programme Never Apart for a fifth 6×30′ season and ordered season two (10×11′) of intergenerational sex comedy Avocado Toast from Guts & Gall Productions.

The drag-related shows ordered from PEG include season two of The Browns (3×22′), The Sherry Vine Variety Show (6×30′), Sharon Needles: Mask It or Casket (1×75′) and 45-minute music specials from RuPaul’s Drag Race alumni Jujubee, Peppermint and Bebe Zahara Benet.

The commissions come after OUTtv Media Group recently launched an LGBTQ+-themed SVoD platform, Froot, in the British Isles.
