Outright partners with Title Role

Shed Media’s sales arm Outright Distribution has signed an 18-month first-look deal with UK factual crime indie Title Role Productions.

It is Outright’s first such deal since Shed began funding its search for first-look partnerships, and the company has already ordered Title Role to produce a second season of Crimes That Shook Britain (6×60′).

The season will air on the Crime and Investigation Network UK. Pre-production is underway and will feature high-profile UK criminal cases such as the shooting of BBC presenter Jill Dando.

Outright already distributes season one of the series and has sold it into territories such as France, Australia, Denmark and Latin America.

Title Role’s MD Helen Tonge said the deal would help the company expand its development slate, potentially across new genres.
