NEWS BRIEF: US cablenet The Weather Channel has ordered a third season of Strangest Weather on Earth from Tinopolis-owned UK prodco Pioneer Productions.

The 8×60’ third run has also been acquired by Channel 4 in the UK to air as part of its World’s Weirdest Weather strand. The series looks into the science behind some of the most bizarre weather events to have struck the planet.
