The Amazon agreement will see more than 30 titles added to Amazon’s SVoD services in the US, the UK and Japan, including shows from ORF’s Universum-branded wildlife and history line-up.

Elsewhere, blue-chip factual show Maximilian of Mexico will debut in the US on Smithsonian Channel, while ORF Universum wildlife doc Vanishing Kings – Lions of the Namib has been acquired by Spain’s TVE.

The Spanish broadcaster also picked up a wildlife package including documentary Making an Ancient Forest, while RTL in Germany has added gardening series GardenCULT and wildlife doc Garden Wild! to its schedules.

Marion Camus-Oberdorfer, head of ORF-Enterprise Content Sales International, said: “After an exceptionally satisfying year of business in the TV market, we are pleased to experience more and more opportunities in the non-linear business in all genres, strengthening our market position.”
