Onza bags 100 hours of History

Microkillers is among the shows to be distributed by Onza

Madrid-based Onza Distribution has picked up more than 100 hours of Spanish and Portuguese programming from History Channel Iberia to distribute worldwide.

Titles covered by the deal include History of the Future (4×45’), Gamer Sapiens (6×45’), Microkillers (6×45’), Extraterrestrial (5×30’ & 12×45’), Impossible Sports (6×30’), 12 Under the Stars (6×60’), Spain: A Lab for War (6×60’), Templar Territory (6×60’) and one-hour doc Faces of Fatima.

All titles have previously premiered on History Channel in Spain and Portugal.

“This deal with History Channel Iberia is another step in our international growth strategy,” said Onza Distribution director’s Carlos Garde, who has recently inked similar distribution deals for Portuguese channel TVI’s telenovelas and Movistar’s Latin American fiction series.

“We want to work with key production companies and the recent agreements go in that direction. Our catalogue becomes more diverse with the History Channel Iberia titles.”
