ON Kids hires Planeta Junior exec for copros

French kids’ entertainment specialist ON Kids & Family has appointed a former France TV Distribution executive as its new senior VP of coproductions and business development.

Erick Rouillé, who brings two decades of experience to the Paris-based firm, will focus on developing coproductions abroad and steering its international strategy. He will also be responsible for strengthening the relations with ON Entertainment’s distributors.

He joins from Spanish children’s producer and distributor Planeta Junior and previously served as senior VP of sales at France TV Distribution. Prior to that he was executive VP of sales, TV and licensing at French animation studio Xilam.

ON Kids & Family co-founder and president Aton Soumache said Rouillé’s appointment would be crucial to the future financial packaging of shows.

“In a world where the entertainment business is undergoing a profound mutation with the entry of new digital players that incessantly revolutionises the market, we must target a new financing approach to make our business grow,” he added.
