Pam Cavannagh and Dympna Jackson of Objective Media Group North

All3Media-owned UK production and distribution group Objective Media has teamed up with two BBC executives to form a creative label based in Manchester.

The as-yet-unnamed outfit, which will launch in August, will be led by producers Pam Cavannagh and Dympna Jackson and develop and produce factual entertainment formats and quizzes.

It will form part of Objective Media Group North, a new office led by Cavannagh and Jackson to produce content originated by the group’s London-based labels in Manchester.

Objective Media currently comprises six production labels: Hitchhiker Television, Main Event Media, Objective Fiction, Panda Television, Second Star and another set up with Endemol Shine’s Jonathan Meenagh that is yet to be named. It is also home to three acquired prodcos: Betty, Story Films and Studio Ramsay.

Cavannagh has worked across all BBC channels, commissioning programmes such as Pointless and Escape to the Country. She was most recently creative director at BBC Studios.

Jackson previously worked as day producer on ITV’s This Morning programme, before moving to Channel 4 to help launch Richard & Judy. She now works at the BBC, producing factual entertainment shows like Honey, We’re Killing the Kids for BBC3.
