Nordic nets mark Will & Kate’s anniversary

The Day Will & Kate Got Married was ordered by ITV

TV4 in Sweden, YLE in Finland, TV2 in Denmark and NRK in Norway have all picked up a one-off documentary marking the 10th wedding anniversary of the UK’s Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

The Day Will & Kate Got Married is a 1×60’ special commissioned by UK commercial broadcaster ITV from indie Finestripe Productions.

The doc provides a behind-the-scenes look at the wedding day with interviews with Kate’s uncle Gary Goldsmith, royal dressmaker Daniella Helayel, cakemaker Fiona Cairns, royal protection officer Graham Craker and photographer Hugo Burnand.

It has been sold to the Nordic channels and to BBC Poland by London-based distributor Cineflix Rights.

Cineflix Rights agreed a first-look deal with Scotland-based Finestripe in 2019 and has previously sold its docs Diana: The Day the World Cried, The Day We Walked on the Moon, Inside Dior and The Day Kennedy Died around the world.
