Nine shows Passion for UK docs

Nine Network in Australia and Discovery Networks UK and Ireland are among broadcasters to have picked up factual content from Tinopolis-owned Passion Distribution.

Following Mipcom in October, Passion has sold Weather Gone Viral (8×60′), which features extreme weather phenomena caught on camera, to Nine.

The Australian commercial broadcaster has also taken one-off docs Rich Kids of Social Media and How the Rich Get Hitched. The former was produced by Popkorn TV, the latter by Firecracker and both aired on Channel 4 in the UK.

BBC Worldwide Australia and New Zealand has taken seasons seven to 13 of Traffic Cops for BBC Knowledge, with the series produced by Mentorn Media for BBC1.

Discovery Networks UK and Ireland has taken three seasons, totalling 80 episodes, of Reef Television’s Put Your Money Where Your Mouth Is, which challenges antiques experts to make a profit.

Finally, Digicast in Italy has picked up the second season of Charlie Luxton’s Homes By The Sea (8×60′).
