Nickelodeon appoints features chief

Nickelodeon and Awesomeness Films have appointed a Paramount Pictures exec as executive VP, overseeing all live-action feature-length content.

Syrinthia Studer

Syrinthia Studer takes up the role at ViacomCBS-owned Awesomeness and Nickelodeon’s kids and family studio, which encompasses development, production, acquisitions and co-financing.

Reporting to Shelley Zimmerman, executive VP, live-action studio, Awesomeness and Nickelodeon, Studer will develop original feature-length live-action content for both Gen Z (those born between 1996 and 2010) and the kids and family audience.

Most recently, Studer served as executive VP, worldwide acquisitions at ViacomVBS-owned Paramount Pictures, where she oversaw the global content acquisitions business.

This included acquiring films for domestic and international theatrical release and distribution across multiple home entertainment platforms, including streaming and digital VoD.

Studer’s appointment comes as Awesomeness looks to grow its slate of feature-length content, which already includes To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before.

“Syrinthia’s extensive experience and understanding of today’s content landscape will make her an invaluable asset to Awesomeness and Nickelodeon’s expanding live-action studio businesses,” said Zimmerman.
