As senior VP of production at Nickelodeon Animation Studios, David Steinberg will handle operations and preside over all animation and digital projects at the studio, located in Burbank. He will report to Alison Dexter, executive VP of production for the Nickelodeon Group.

Steinberg left his role as head of Starz Animation in Toronto last year after the studio was sold to a Canadian investment group and renamed Arc Productions.

During his five years at Starz, Steinberg oversaw the animation on feature films such as Tim Burton’s 9 and Gnomeo & Juliet for Miramax Films. The veteran animation exec also spent 10 years as director of production at Disney, before leaving in 2006 to head Starz Animation.
