Nice man joins Drama Summit

CONTENT LONDON: Stefan Baron, exec producer and head of international coproductions at MTG production and distribution arm Nice Entertainment Group, has joined the line-up for C21’s International Drama Summit.

Baron will be joining a masterclass session at the event, which takes place from November 29 to December 1 as part of Content London.

The session will focus on Midnight Sun, billed as the first French/Swedish copro, for Canal+ and SVT, looking at the creative process behind the new series. It will also feature writing/directing duo Måns Mårlind and Björn Stein (Bron/The Bridge) and other key executives. Nice coproduced the series with France’s Atlantique Productions.

At Nice, Baron is responsible for the international financing of the group’s drama projects and long-term international collaborations. He also serves as executive producer for Nice Drama.

Baron has previously worked as a director and a producer. He held several roles at Swedish pubcaster SVT across more than 20 years, including head of SVT acquisitions, commissioning editor for sports and entertainment, head of drama and commissioning editor for drama and sports.
