Nice makes Strong CEO choice

Nice Entertainment’s Danish production outfit Strong Productions has hired the programme director at rival Mastiff as its permanent CEO.

Kristian Farcin-Leth

Kristian Farcin-Leth, an experienced Danish producer, is taking the position that was vacated by Fredrik Hillerbrand in December after a decade with the company when he left to join Warner Bros International Television Production.

Trine Bjørn Jakobsen had been filling the CEO role on an interim basis and will now revert to programme director at Strong.

Farcin-Leth will start work on September 1 at Strong, which is known as a prolific producer of local format adaptations including Survivor for TV3 and Doctor in the House for DR2.

He said: “My ambition is to become even stronger in the genres that Strong is already excellent on, lifestyle, factual and reality. I am also looking forward to collaborating with our international colleagues and sister companies in the rest of Scandinavia and other important territories.”

Nice Entertainment CEO Morten Mogensen added: “I am very happy that Kristian has chosen to lead the team at Strong and to develop the company even further. Kristian has shown via his many years in the industry that he is capable of creating innovation and growth, and he is a very well-liked person.”
