Wild Tokyo is being coproduced by NHK, ITV Studios-owned prodco Oxford Scientific Films (OSF) and distribution arm ITV Studios Global Entertainment.

The 1×60’ 4K blue-chip documentary looks behind the concrete curtain of Tokyo at the city’s natural refuges where wildlife has adapted and co-habits with humans.

Masa Hayakawa, executive producer at NHK, said: “I’m delighted to be producing Wild Tokyo in this special Olympic year. With OSF’s help I’m confident this film will be visually stunning and will reveal wildlife and behaviour rarely seen in Tokyo.”
