NGC ups programming pair

Heather Moran

National Geographic Channel (NGC) in the US has promoted two senior execs in its programming department.

Heather Moran has become executive VP of programming and strategy, overseeing the network’s content as well as development and production.

Moran joined the channel in 2005 from Style Network and was previously senior VP of global programming and strategic development, with responsibility for developing the programming and scheduling strategy for NGC, Nat Geo Wild and NGC International.

Brad Dancer

Brad Dancer, previously senior VP of audience and business development for NGC and Nat Geo Wild, is now senior VP of programming planning and research. He will oversee the distribution of NGC and Nat Geo Wild across linear and non-linear platforms and scheduling for both networks.

Dancer was one of the first 10 employees at NGC, in May 2000. Both will continue to report to president Howard T Owens.
