Zinc Media Group launches distribution arm ahead of Mipcom showcase

Terror at 30,000 Feet is heading to Cannes

UK production group Zinc Media is launching a distribution arm ahead of Mipcom, showcasing a slate of titles from its 11 production companies.

Zinc Distribution is heading to Cannes with an unscripted slate that includes Terror at 30,000 Feet, Police Interceptors and Stonehenge: The Lost Circle Revealed.

The move follows the acquisition of ‘blue light’ specialist prodco Raw Cut a year ago, which came with its own long-established in-house distribution arm that shopped Police Interceptors among other titles.

Zinc Distribution brings together experts from across the group and will be led by Raw Cut exec director Steve Warr and draw on the expertise of Zinc Group’s distribution and commercial consultant, Paul Hanrahan.

Alex Colebeck moves from Raw Cut Distribution to become head of international sales and Ziella Bryars is group distribution manager at the newly formed division.

Historically, content has been placed with a variety of distributors seeing its shows placed in more than 150 territories.

Warr said: “Zinc Distribution is primed to maximise the potential of the group’s incredible and ever-growing content portfolio. Through our longstanding partnerships and relationships, this is an exciting opportunity to expand our reach, unlock fresh revenue streams, and deliver impactful, high-quality content to global audiences. Our focus is on driving the group’s growth and broadening our international presence”.

Hanrahan added: “The launch of Zinc Distribution marks the culmination of years of investment in content creation and distribution, enabling us to harness the power of our extensive back catalogue. We’re all excited to be able to control more of our IP going forward and manage global sales of our content. In addition, by capitalising on our rich library of IP, we’re well-positioned to lead in the ever-evolving digital distribution landscape and drive sustainable long-term growth”.
