Zee promotes to fill sales role

Indian media group Zee Entertainment Enterprises has promoted one of its executives following the recent launch of its international coproduction and co-development division.

Vibha Chopra has been upped to head of global syndication and international film distribution at the company, taking over the responsibilities of Sunita Uchil, who was promoted to lead the new division.

Chopra has taken over responsibility for global licensing and syndication in addition to her current role of leading Zee’s international film distribution business.

The exec joined Zee in 2006 and has risen through the ranks, gaining experience in marketing, distribution, branding, digital, research, strategy and live events.

Zee has a television content portfolio comprising more than 260,000 hours of programming, as well as a movie library. Chopra’s promotion was announced by Mukund Cairae, chief operating officer of international business at Zee Entertainment Enterprises.
