Estonian drama Von Fock

Germany’s ZDF Studios has secured the worldwide distribution rights for the first two seasons (both 4×45’) of new whodunnit drama Von Fock.

Based on the books by Ain Kütt, it’s coproduced by Estonian indie prodco Zolba Productions, Latvia’s Berghein Production and Nafta, Italy’s Movie.Mento, Albolina Film and Eesti Telefilm for Estonian Public Broadcasting, Eesti Telefilm, Latvia’s LTV and Lithuania’s LRT.

Set in the early part of the 19th century when Baltic Germans ruled Estonian high society, the series stars Priit Pius as Paul von Fock, who solves murder mysteries with his friend Gerhard Wagner (Stan Karpov).

Mirela Nastase, director drama, ZDF Studios said: “There is always a demand for period mystery dramas, especially ones like Von Fock that are set in beautiful locations featuring grand houses and upper-class society but most importantly of all, have great storytelling that keeps you guessing right until the end.”
