ZDFS set to open AI agency ZDF Sparks, led by Pirita Pyykkönen-Klauck

Germany’s ZDF Studios (ZDFS) Group is launching artificial intelligence (AI) agency ZDF Sparks, to be headed by digital technology expert Pirita Pyykkönen-Klauck.

ZDF Sparks will be headquartered in Berlin and becomes operational from February 1, focusing on realising AI solutions for the ZDF network in the context of planning, communication and distribution.

Staff will work with the teams from ZDF, ZDFS and ZDF Digital, as well as external partners.

Pyykkönen-Klauck has around 25 years’ experience in data science, advanced analytics, digital learning and artificial intelligence.

Prior to joining ZDF Sparks, she was technical director and head of AI media services at IU Group, Germany’s largest university group.
