ZDF joins Harry Wild as coproducer

German pubcaster ZDF has boarded Irish murder-mystery series Harry Wild, starring James Bond actor Jane Seymour, as a coproducer.

The 8×60’ drama has also been pre-bought by Mediawan for French-speaking Europe, while pubcaster RTÉ has come on board as the Irish broadcaster.

First commissioned by AMC Networks-owned streamer Acorn TV and produced and distributed by Dynamic Television, Harry Wild stars Seymour (The Kominsky Method, Dr Quinn, Medicine Woman) as a recently retired English professor who discovers a real knack for investigation and cannot help but interfere with the cases assigned to her police detective son.

The series was created and written by David Logan (Lost Christmas) and co-written by Jo Spain (Taken Down).
