ZDF, Curiosity Stream land on Restless Planet

ZDF Digital’s Restless Planet

NEWS BRIEF: German pubcaster ZDF and US-based factual streamer Curiosity Stream are coproducing ambitious science series Restless Planet (working title, 5×50’), which goes back 4.5 billion years to look at the formatation of the planet and the catastrophes that have determined its fate.

The series is produced by ZDF Digital, a subsidiary of ZDF Studios, for Curiosity Stream and ZDFinfo. The series is now filming in Chile, Australia, Indonesia, Iceland, the US, Canada, Switzerland and Germany. It will be delivered in June 2023 and ZDF Studios will handle international sales outside of the copro partners’ rights.
