ZDF, Cottonwood pair for S2 of Spellbound

Tween ballet drama Spellbound

NEWS BRIEF: German pubcaster ZDF and French producer Cottonwood Media are teaming up for a second season of tween ballet drama Spellbound, with filming of 13 episodes set to begin in August, taking the series total to 39×30’.

The new season is produced by Cottonwood Media in coproduction with ZDF, ZDF Studios and Opéra national de Paris, with negotiations underway with further broadcast partners. Hulu, France Télévisions and CBC Gem were among the international broadcasters to have picked up season one. Federation Kids & Family and ZDF Studios are handling worldwide sales.
