Sony Pictures Television’s Belfast-based prodco Stellify Media has partnered with British YouTube star Joe Sugg on a virtual reality gameshow.

Stellify Media, which produces hit quizshow Who Wants to be a Millionaire? for ITV, will work with Sugg’s prodco Final Straw Productions on the series, called Virtually Impossible.

Launching on Sugg’s YouTube channel, Virtually Impossible sees the reality star lead 12 contestants through a childlike assault course as quickly as possible. It all seems very straightforward except for one catch – all the contestants take part through VR.

Matthew Worthy, joint CEO and founder of Stellify Media, said: “This will be Stellify’s very first YouTube show, which is a big deal for us, and we couldn’t be more excited to be working with Joe.”
