YouTube orders HiddenLight original

YouTube has commissioned its first original projects from HiddenLight Productions, the fledgling prodco fronted by Hillary and Chelsea Clinton and Sam Branson.

If I Could Tell You Just One Thing is a four-part series featuring YouTube star Patricia Bright in conversation with some of the world’s most inspirational women about the stories and experiences that have shaped their lives.

The series is based on the bestselling book of the same name and follows a pilot episode YouTube aired in 2019 featuring Simone Biles, Awkwafina and Diane Von Furstenberg, with Priyanka Chopra as the US host.

The pilot was produced by Sundog Pictures, the UK indie run by Branson and Johnny Webb prior to HiddenLight’s launch in December. Webb is also on board at HiddenLight as CEO.

Luke Hyams, head of YouTube Originals, said: “The show is hosted by Patricia Bright, one of YouTube’s greatest success stories, who is herself emblematic of the self-belief, drive and resilience that she encounters in the women she meets. We are also incredibly excited that this landmark series will be our first collaboration with HiddenLight Productions.”
