Young-adult dramas One of Us Is Lying, Vampire Academy cancelled at Peacock

Young-adult mystery drama One of Us Is Lying revolves around students at Bayview High

Peacock has cancelled a pair of young-adult shows, One of Us Is Lying and Vampire Academy.

One of Us Is Lying, based on US author Karen M McManus’s novel of the same name, comes to a close after two seasons on the NBCUniversal-owned streamer.

Produced by UCP, a division of Universal Studio Group (USG), the series revolves around five high-school students who get sent to detention, with only four making it out alive.

Vampire Academy, from showrunner and exec producer Julie Plec, is ending after one season.

Based on Richelle Mead’s collection of young-adult paranormal romance novels, the story is set in a world of privilege and glamour where the friendship of two young women transcends their social backgrounds as they prepare to complete their education and enter a royal vampire society.

Vampire Academy was produced by USG’s Universal Television and stars Sisi Stringer, Daniela Nieves, Andre Dae Kim, Kieron Moore, J August Richards and Anita-Joy Uwajeh.

UCP and Universal Television are both exploring options that would allow the shows to continue.
