Xbox appoints ex-WB Network CEO

Microsoft has hired a former WB Network CEO to oversee scripted and unscripted series at Xbox’s studio operation.

Jordan Levin has been named as exec VP of Xbox Entertainment Studios and will be responsible for developing and producing new content for the Xbox games console and other Microsoft devices. He will report to the studio’s president Nancy Tellem.

Levin was previously CEO at Californian prodco Generate, which he co-founded, and was most recently president at Alloy Digital, which acquired his firm in 2012. He is also chair of Natpe.

“Jordan offers a unique blend of traditional media experience, technical knowledge and entrepreneurial spirit that sets him apart from others in the industry,” said Tellem.

Xbox is currently working on its first scripted series Halo, and is also developing a show about football and a range of documentary series.
