WorkShop Content preps series under new deal with chef Amanda Freitag

Philadelphia-based prodco WorkShop Content Studios has revealed its latest series, Chef Swap at the Beach, produced through a new partnership with celebrity chef and author Amanda Freitag.

The 6×30’ culinary series, produced alongside Keystone Pictures, is set to debut in the US on Cooking Channel on October 1.

The project sees Freitag going on a mission to uncover and highlight the best talent in the town of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, where production is currently underway. Each episode will see two head chefs trading kitchens and competing in unfamiliar venues with the other chef’s staff to create a winning dish.

Freitag, who has been a judge on Food Network’s Chopped has appeared on Iron Chef America, Next Iron Chef, Unique Eats, Beat Bobby Flay and Tournament of Champions, will host the series and serve as a judge.

WorkShop Content Studios, led by CEO and executive producer Tom Farrell, has also developed and produced series such as Novak for Amazon Prime, Trading Spaces for TLC, The Haney Project for Golf Channel, True North for PBS and Amazon Prime and Basketball or Nothing for Netflix.
