WordSword Creations links up with Mounia Aram to develop toon Rhina Rhino

WordSword Creations pitched Rhina Rhino at Cartoon Forum 2021

France-based distributor Mounia Aram Company is working with Delhi animation outfit WordSword Creations to develop a children’s series set in Tanzania.

Rhina Rhino (26×11′) was pitched by WordSword at Cartoon Forum last year and is aimed at kids aged from four to seven.

WordSword Creations and Aram are now developing the project together and will be pitching it to buyers at Annecy later this month.

Described as a visually appealing, music-filled series inspired by the vibrant Tanzanian plains of the Serengeti, the comedy-adventure series follows an impulsive eight-year-old rhino.

Mounia Aram Company was set up in 2019 to promote African talent internationally, with a particular focus on animation through international coproductions and sales.

Also on its development slate are titles such as The Makerbolts (52×11′) from Nigeria, Message Beats (36×11′) from Ghana and The Troublemakers (78×7′) from Mozambique.
