The show, based on SuperSoul Sunday from OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network, will begin streaming exclusively on Discovery+ later this month.

The series will feature “intimate” conversations between Winfrey and figures such as Cicely Tyson, Sharon Stone, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Julianna Margulies, Martha Beck, Jon Meacham and Chip and Joanna Gaines.

Produced by OWN, it is executive produced by Winfrey and Tara Montgomery and joins a slate of over 50 exclusive titles available on Discovery+ during its launch month.

Audio versions of the interviews will be available in podcast form the week after each stream, with OWN – which is jointly owned by Discovery and Harpo Studios – airing the interviews later this year.

“As OWN celebrates our 10th anniversary on air, I continue to find personal inspiration from these in-depth conversations. My hope is that these interviews allow space for intriguing self-reflection as viewers awaken to their best selves and discover a deeper connection to the world around them,” said Winfrey, CEO of OWN.

“There has never been a more important time to inspire the world with Oprah’s singular voice than right now, through this thought-provoking exploration of perseverance, exclusively on Discovery+,” added David Zaslav, president and CEO of Discovery.

“SuperSoul from Oprah exemplifies our deep commitment to empowering Discovery+ customers to stream what they love through our ambitious and growing slate of originals.”

In other news, Discovery has also commissioned a series following Britain’s most ambitious homebuilders as they take on some of the country’s most rundown abandoned buildings, for its fledgling streaming service Discovery+ and its home improvement channel HGTV.

Produced by UK indie Air TV, Derelict Rescue will follow builders as they transform crumbling railway stations, abandoned RAF bases, disused lighthouses and water towers into unique family homes.

The 10-part series will launch in late 2021 and be distributed globally by Parade Media.
