Wind Sun Sky’s Future Chicken lands on 2BeNamed’s Lat Am streamer KidOO

The Future Chicken platform aims to encourage children to take action on climate change

Vancouver-based Wind Sun Sky Entertainment (WSS) has licensed its multiplatform eco initiative Future Chicken into Latin America through a deal with Chile- and US-based media company 2BeNamed.

Under the deal, 2BeNamed will launch Future Chicken on its Spanish-language streaming platform KidOO and its other family channels and platforms.

2BeNamed was founded by former Fox Latin America execs Edgar Spielmann, Marco Ibarra and Daniel Poblete. KidOO, which is focused on educational content for kids aged three to nine, is currently available in five Latin American countries and is on track to reach three million homes across the region by the end of 2024, according to 2BeNamed.

Future Chicken, a partnership between WSS and ecological hub Ontario Water Centre, is a multiplatform digital platform designed to empower children to take action on climate change. The project features a variety of entertainment and educational experiences, including a series called The Future Chicken Today Show.

It was previously picked up by Canadian public broadcaster the CBC.

WSS CEO, exec producer and founder Catherine Winder said the partnership with 2BeNamed “aligns perfectly with our global mission.”

Spielmann added: “It’s not just a show, it’s a fun movement that resonates deeply with the values of families across Latin America, making it a perfect fit for KidOO’s mission to provide enriching and impactful content for children.”
