WildBear International takes titles about gems, World Wars, snakes to Cannes

The fledgling distribution arm of Australia’s WildBear Entertainment is bringing a slate of obs doc, history and wildlife titles to Mipcom next month, spanning subjects including sapphire hunting, the World Wars and snakes.

Gem Hunters Down Under (6×60′), recently pre-bought by broadcasters covering Australia, Benelux, Germany, the UK, the Nordics, the Baltics and CEE, follows the quest of five gem-hunter crews in Central Queensland, Australia.

The show is being sold through WildBear International’s European-based sales team, made up of Edwina Thring and Margaret Yoshida of agency Wild Thring Media.

Also on the slate is The World War: 1914-1945 (6×60′), The Bomber: Terror of World War II (6×60′), The 100 Days (6×60′), Nature’s Mass Attacks (2×60′), Nature’s Fast Attacks (2×60′), Extreme Snakes (2×60′) and season four of Demolition Down Under (6×60′).

Michael Tear, CEO of WildBear Entertainment and WildBear International, said: “Having already secured international commissions and pre-sales partners for many of these titles, we are now excited to be bringing the slate to Mipcom and look forward to meeting face-to-face with buyers in Cannes.”
