WeMake options Quebec roast format In Lieu of Flowers

Patrice L’Écuyer fronts In Lieu of Flowers for ICI Radio-Canada Télé

MIPCOM: Paris-based production company WeMake has optioned the French and Belgian remake rights to French Canadian comedy roast format In Lieu of Flowers from Quebec-based distributor Amuz Distribution.

In Lieu of Flowers is a primetime hit in Quebec on ICI Radio-Canada Télé, produced by local outfit Zone 3. Based on the Celebrity Roast concept, each episode features a guest star who must bear witness to the totality of their life on stage as if they were attending their own mock funeral. Amuz is in Cannes this week shopping the format.
