AMC Networks-owned pay TV channel WE tv has commissioned an original factual series about some of the biggest names in hip-hop.

Untold Stories of Hip Hop features revealing interviews with stars such as Cardi B, Snoop Dogg, Queen Latifah, Ice Cube, Nelly, A$AP Rocky, DJ Khaled, Wyclef Jean, Ja Rule and Fat Joe.

Set to premiere on WE tv this fall, the series is being made by transatlantic producer and distributor Entertainment One (eOne) and US prodco Creature Films.

The executive producers are Tara Long for eOne and Mark Ford, Kevin Lopez, Yemisi Brookes and Sarah Girgis for Creature Films.

Lauren Gellert, Lauren Lazin and David Stefanou are exec producing for WE tv, while hip-hop radio personality Angie Martinez is both hosting and exec producing the series.

“Hip-hop music and culture is at the foundation of the WE tv brand, and as the genre’s influence only continues to grow and impact the world around us, it’s incredibly important to preserve these untold stories for the culture,” said Marc Juris, president of WE tv.
