Warner Bros Television Group (WBTV) has renewed its overall deal with Supergirl actress Melissa Benoist and her production banner, Three Things Productions.

With the renewal of the deal, Benoist and the team at US-based Three Things Productions, which includes VP of development Sahar Kashi, will continue to develop and produce dramas, comedies and limited series for HBO Max and other Warner Bros Discovery-owned cable, broadcasting and streaming networks.

WBTV also announced that Benoist will star in the forthcoming HBO Max/WBTV series The Girls on the Bus, which is produced by Greg Berlanti’s Berlanti Productions.

Written and executive produced by Amy Chozick and Julie Plec, the drama chronicles four female journalists who follow every move of a parade of flawed presidential candidates, while finding friendship, love and scandal along the way.

Benoist will also serve as a producer, with Rina Mimoun, Greg Berlanti and Sarah Schechter serving as executive producers.

In addition to The CW drama Supergirl, which ended in November after six seasons, Benoist also appeared in DC series including Arrow, The Flash, Batwoman and DC’s Legends of Tomorrow.
