Watch lines up Dynamo specials

UKTV channel Watch has commissioned two Christmas specials based on its popular magic series Dynamo: Magician Impossible.

Dynamo Top Ten Greatest Moments will see fans vote for their favourite Dynamo moments from over the last three series during the show via social media.

The second of the specials, Dynamo Revealed, sees Radio 1 DJ and TV presenter Zane Lowe take Dynamo back to his roots, uncovering the story of how Steven Frayne went from being bullied on a housing estate in Bradford to becoming one of the most celebrated magicians in world today.

Both shows will be produced by Phil McIntyre Productions and Inner Circle Films for UKTV. The programmes were commissioned by UKTV’s Richard Watsham and ordered by Watch’s general manager, Steve Hornsey.

They will transmit during the Christmas period on Watch, with the fourth series of Dynamo: Magician Impossible following in 2014.

The orders come after Watsham last week green-lit another magic show called The Happenings, co-created by Objective Productions.
