WarnerMedia expands Craig of the Creek franchise with two new projects

Jessica’s Big Little World will launch in 2023

WarnerMedia Kids & Family is expanding its Craig of the Creek franchise with two new titles and a fifth season of the original series.

The California-based company has commissioned a preschool spin-off series, Jessica’s Big Little World, for Cartoonito in addition to an animated movie, Craig of the Creek: The Movie, for HBO Max and Cartoon Network.

The original series, which follows the precocious Craig and his best friends Kelsey and JP as they transform everyday afternoons into extraordinary adventures at the neighbourhood creek, debuted in 2018 and is available on HBO Max and Cartoon Network. The fourth season premiered on January 17 on Cartoon Network and will launch on HBO Max on February 17.

All three projects are produced by Cartoon Network Studios and executive produced and co-created by Matt Burnett and Ben Levin.

Jessica’s Big Little World, set to debut in 2023, follows Craig’s resilient little sister Jessica as she navigates her way through a world where everything seems much bigger than she is. Tiffany Ford, a former supervising director on Craig of the Creek, is also a co-creator and exec producer on the spin-off.

Meanwhile, Craig of the Creek: The Movie is an origin story about the franchise’s lead character. It is also expected to premiere in 2023.
