Warner Bros lines up dating, challenge reality, fact ent formats for Mipcom

Matched by Mom will launch on Videoland and RTL4

A show about mums fixing their sons’ love lives and a fitness challenge show set on a tropical island headline Warner Bros International Television Production (WBITVP)’s Mipcom formats slate.

Matched by Mom (10×60’) sees four men hand control of their love lives over to their mothers. The series will be launching simultaneously on RTL-owned Dutch streaming platform Videoland and in primetime on sister channel RTL4.

Go Hard or Go Home (10×60’), meanwhile, is a challenge reality format set on a tropical island, where eight young people embark on a month of fitness training and epic challenges, aiming to transform them in both mind and body. WBITVP-owned UK prodco Wall to Wall produces the show for BBC Three.

The WBITVP format slate for Cannes also includes daily shortform digital format Now What (90×10’), which follows a diverse group of 18- to 22-year-olds living together in a city. WBITVP Belgium makes the series for OTT service GoPlay.

In addition, WBITVP has acquired the Red Arrow Studios International format Claim to Fame (10×60’) for Belgium, Finland, Sweden, the Netherlands, Spain, Portugal, France and New Zealand. The celebrity challenge show is produced by LA-based Kinetic Content for ABC.

Rounding out the formats slate are comedy-variety series Stupid Pet Tricks (10×30’), which The Jay & Tony Show and Worldwide Pants produce for TBS; and travel show 101 Places to Party Before You Die (8×30’), from Shed Media, Clone Wolf, High & Mighty Productions, 3 Arts Entertainment and Artists First for TruTV.

Andrew Zein, senior VP of creative, format development and sales at WBITVP, said the slate “reflects the dynamic creativity of the Warner Bros Discovery group and the continued strength of our key third-party partner relationships.”
