Mama’s Angel was ordered by Yes TV
Foreign-language drama platform Walter Presents has licensed Israeli drama series Mama’s Angel from distributor Wild Bunch TV.
The show, created by Keren Weissman, centres on life in a wealthy Tel Aviv suburb that is suddenly devastated by the murder of a young boy.
First-window rights to the show, produced by Black Sheep Film Productions for Yes TV in Israel, have been picked up by Walter Presents in the UK and the US.
It will be released on the UK VoD service in summer 2018, with a special premiere of the first episodes on its parent broadcaster Channel 4.
The show has also been picked up by, amongst others, SBS in Australia and Canal+ in Poland.
