Walter Presents Belgian drama in UK

Tabula Rasa stars Veerle Baetens

International drama streamer Walter Presents has acquired UK rights to a psychological thriller about a young woman with amnesia.

Tabula Rasa (9×50′) is produced by Caviar Films and will premiere on UK public broadcaster Channel 4, which operates Walter Presents with Global Series Network, in the summer.

The show will also be made available to view in its entirety on-demand via Walter Presents following the deal struck with German distributor ZDF Enterprises (ZDFE).

The series stars Veerle Baetens as an amnesiac who is locked up in a secure psychiatric hospital having been the last person to be seen with a man who has since disappeared.

Co-written by Malin-Sarah Gozin, Veerle Baetens and Christophe Dirickx, it is a coproduction between VRT-owned Belgian network Eén, German network ZDFneo and ZDFE. It is also the second Caviar production to be picked up by Walter Presents, following fellow Belgian drama Clan.

Tabula Rasa “is a superb, taut, psychological thriller that scares and intrigues in equal measure,” said Walter Presents co-founder and curator Walter Iuzzolino.
